Anti-phishing
Phishing
is a type of fraud designed to steal your identity. Social-engineering schemes
use 'spoofed' e-mails to lead consumers to counterfeit websites designed to trick
recipients into divulging financial data such as credit card numbers, account
usernames, passwords and social security numbers. Hijacking brand names of banks,
e-retailers and credit card companies, phishers often convince recipients to respond.
The plug-in is able to detect the spoofed hyperlinks in the messages. The link
recognized as spoofed if the corresponding URL in text differs from the URL, referenced
in link. The message, containing one or more spoofed links, is filtered as spam.
